Sequim - the Lavender Capitol of North America
The Sequim Lavender Festival takes place every year the third weekend in July, and what a festival it is. The largest Lavender Fesital in North America brings in around 30,000 people from all over the world. In additional to blocking off many blocks of Sequim for the vendors of the Lavender Festival Street Fair, their are numerous farms that hold festivities on their farms. It is like attending several mini festivals complete with music. And do not forget to attend " Jazz in the Alley" at BrokersGroup Real Estate Professionals, friday and saturday nights. If you want to avoid crowds and the Festival, come a week or two before or after The farms will be open and have gift shops.
